Replacement cables for the grate lift system on Sunterra grills manufactured before the chain system was introduced. While all current Sunterra grills ship with a chain-based lift system as standard, some grills manufactured prior to the transition period in 2025 may still use cables. If your grill uses the original cable system, these are the correct replacement parts.
Each cable attaches at the bottom to the grate support frame and runs up through the lift assembly. At the top, it is secured with a cotter pin. Installation requires no specialized tools — the cotter pin can be removed and replaced by hand.
Cables are sold per grate configuration. A single-grate setup uses 2 cables; a split-grate setup uses 4 cables. When ordering, select the configuration that matches your grill and the correct quantity will be included automatically.
